O make me Thine forever;
And, should I fainting be,
Lord, let me never, never
Out live my love to Thee.

NYC Half 2012

I was so worried about this race. I hadn't stuck to my training schedule as well as I would have liked. I will say if you are considering ever running a half marathon, this is the one to do! I live here and running through Times Square was emotional. The hills were pretty much kept in the park so the second half is basically flat. The energy of the crowd, the bands and the beauty of city carried me along to a strong, surprising finish.  Here are some pictures of this special day.

Start of the race

6.2 miles...feeling good and about to see Ashley and Kevin!

Approaching Times Square

That's me :)

I ran on a special day.
Remembering my cousin, Darin.

Surprisingly felt good at the finish

Brent & I work together at Redeemer. I tried to keep him in view to stay on pace! Thanks, Brent!!

Amazing to put this on!

Fun celebrating with friends!!
