Manhattan through Spiritual, Southern, Single eyes

Quote

O make me Thine forever;
And, should I fainting be,
Lord, let me never, never
Out live my love to Thee.

Southern in Southampton

I went out to the Hamptons to visit Adriana.

Adriana and Julia coerced me to ride bikes all day yesterday on Shelter Island. I've not done this since I was probably ten years old. Let's just say I'm sore...very sore!

It was a beautiful day. Perfect weather! I'm so glad I pushed past my fears and did this. I even had a thought today that my life is never going to be the same. I know....dramatic. But, it wasn't about the bike ride. It was what the bike ride represented. Me overcoming a fear of being flattened by a truck because I'm uncertain on a bike. Also seeing once again what my body is truly capable of. I've never felt this strong before.  I realize this was a leisurely bike ride for my pro friends but for me it was quite challenging. I was using all my energy squeezing the handle bars to death :).

Here's a glimpse of where we were:
