Quote

O make me Thine forever;
And, should I fainting be,
Lord, let me never, never
Out live my love to Thee.

Signs of North Carolina

Can you hear James Taylor singing, "Going to Carolina in my mind?" There is no place like home, especially when you are loved like I am!

I got to spend last week at home with my wonderful family and friends. Here are a few pics to share from the trip.

The Cross: Christ as my constant companion

I just read an entry of Arthur Blessitt's journal in his book, "The Cross." He carried a wood cross across the over 300 countries. I initially was a little critical of such an odd thing to do with your life but after reading this entry, I humbled. Oh, that I would know Christ the way Arthur does, as his constant companion.

Here's an except:

"My emotions almost overcome me as I lie tonight by the sea. The walk is complete and I am alive. I will miss, oh, I will miss, the long walks with just you and me along the roadsides of the world, Lord. You, Jesus, have been my constant companion, and I can hardly conceive of living without our intimate times on the road or at night on the roadsides. There is nothing like being with you with the wind in my face in a distant land or feeling your presence in the midst of danger and conflict."
